092 Olympic stamp design contest



Dear All

Here is an exciting competition for your school students. Organised by British council Org.

The Students are required to design stamps on the theme 'Friendship through Sport and Games' and if selected will get to design 10 stamps collaboratively with children from other countries. This competition is a joint initiative of the British Council's Connecting Classrooms programme and the Royal Mail, UK.

In short:

Stage 1

Schools to register their participation by 12 Nov (min 4 students and max 10, age range- 12 to 15 Yrs)
Once you receive your login and ID, upload one A4 stamp image designed by the 10 children of your school with a brief b/w 01 Nov – 24 Dec
Result will be announced by 30 Jan 2011

Stage 2

If the above work is selected, the 10 students along with students of other countries will have to design 10 stamps together.
The team submitting the winning entry will have the honour of seeing their stamp released and put on sale. These limited edition stamps will be put on sale by Royal Mail at Royal Mail outlets in India and the UK
